Living chaotic life's chaos in simplified simplicity

Sunday, February 12, 2006

It's February my friends...

There goes 2005.. Hopefully everyone had an awful good time, We've had disasters and more disasters but nevertheless, we've persevered. A number of our beloved had passed on and they will be missed. Still we must continue on and do God's work.

A lot of changes for me and the family this year... First of all Midyear we'll be leaving Sin City, for I am off to Korea to do His will out there, one year away from the family is not so bad, but I will terribly miss the kids and my lovely partner.

I will miss Las Vegas too, despite the tacky neon lights and the urban sprawl, I will miss the little things that make it unique. Hopefully when we do decide to come back to Vegas, She would have been a little saner by then and less populated. I remember the first time I saw the great expanse of the Nevadan desert just before Indian Springs and see the dust trails that the Wild Mustangs have made across the seeming infinite landscape. That was three years ago and now the Horses are either dead, cooked or tamed, the flat beauty is now replaced by a sea of Spanish-style shingles, McHouses mushroomed and choked the desert. But who cares, Californication is what everyone craves for.

For now everyone needs to stop by and enjoy the scenery before everything gets covered by the eventual future smog that will follow, We still have the breathtaking dawns and sunsets maybe for the last time, and Lake Mead still reminds me of the islands from within my dreams. So come on over and spend your money on the casinos and when you've had your fill, check out the Red Rock Canyon, go hiking on Mount Toiyabe, sail the desert at Pahrump (yes.. I mean Landsailing... Google it), Skydive Las Vegas and check out our most super secret base at Area51, If you didn't bring your Super Secret credentials then just stop by at Rochelle, I'm pretty sure they can accommodate you somehow. Just please don’t shoot the aliens. They come in peace. So they say.
